The birthday cake presentataion to the Ringling Brothers Circus was a blast!
The birthday cake presentation to the performers of the Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey circus was a hit. The staff really enjoyed the cake and the preshow was great. Imagicakes Bakery provided a custom pound cake with cream cheese icing in the shape of the Barnum and Bailey Train. Check out the pictures

Imagicakes bakery and the Wachovia center celebrate Ringling Bros. Anniversary
Imagicakes Cake Designers Bakery will be joining the Wachovia Center in wishing the Ringling Brothers circus happy anniversary. Imagicakes will be presenting a custom birthday cake to the performers to help celebrate their big anniversary. We will also be providing custom cupcakes for the press and their families to enjoy during the show.

Here are a few photos from the past week also. We, as usual, had a ball serving the best customers in the world. Had some delivery van troubles but we were still able to make all deliveries and make our celebrants and brides happy.

Sooo, excited. We received a call from a tv production company this week. They asked some preliminary questions and it seemed pretty positive. I hope to hear from them again soon because we really need Philadelphia represented along with the other major cities in the cake biz. Here are a few cakes from this week also. Additional information about your party cake from Imagicakes Bakery
Let me start by saying that I love Imagicakes customers. By using our bakery they have indicated that the average and the usual is not good enough for them. Because I realize that our customers generally expect a higher degree of service we make every effort to have as much detail and information available before our customers receive the finished product. Ive also come to realize that although our customers have been given some exposure to custom, 3d and novelty shaped cakes there is some additional education needed to ensure against any misunderstanding. I will be adding an " about your cake" page to the website that gives some additional information about custom cakes than is generally shown on TV.

1. I do not suggest that anyone eat the fondant covering on the shaped cakes. It is extremely sweet and may be too much for most guests. It is simply to remove and your taste buds will thank you for it.

2. We are cake artists not photocopiers. Althogh we make every effort to capture the essence of real life objects, due to the materials available it may become necessary to marginally alter the design.

3. We use the industry standard for cake serving size. Plainly put, a serving of cake is to be approximately the size of a deck of playing cards.

4. We are custom designers if there are any particular elements or designs that are desired it is necessary to be very specific and receive confirmation of any changes.

I think these few considerations will make everyone happy and prevent any misunderstanding.

Busy weekend at our Philadelphia Bakery
Hello,
Hello,

   Just checking in to comment on the weekend here at the bakery. I think this Septa Strike is a real pain in the you know what. We had catering and baking deliveries all this week. And negotiating the Philadelphia traffic with all the additional cars in a nightmare. All in all though we were able to put out a few very nice cakes that ill show and a few adult themed cakes I cant.

Ps. The bakery just booked an awesome wedding cake shaped like a cruise ship. Complete with island scene. I cant wait to get the pics for this custom novelty cake.

Philadelphia Bakery Imagicakes Cake designers is getting noticed!

 

I guess hard work does pay off..received a call from the Wachovia Center today with a request for a Princess birthday party themed cake for the Disney Princesses on Ice in a few months. Now that our exposure is increasing we are working even harder provide the best custom cake in Philadelphia. Still waiting on that Food Network call though...lol

Philadelphia bakery Imagicakes Cake Designers to show Phillies custom cake on Fox 29
Good morning,

We are very excited here today. Our bakery just received a phone call from our favorite local network Fox 29 to provide a custom cake for the Phillies World Series Start party sponsored by the morning show. We provided a birthday cake for one of the producers wives and she was very pleased. The cake was a replica of her daughters favorite stuffed animal.  

The show airs on Wednesday October 28 from 7Am to 10Am. I am not sure when the cake will be shown but it will be epic!

Philadelphia is keeping our bakery busy!
Hello again ,

Chef Mr. D here just saying hello and thank you to all of our fabulous customers who have helped us to make September 2009 our most productive month ever. Not only were we able to produce more custom cakes in September than  any other month to date. The designs were so different and beautiful it was a pleasure all the way.

Philadelphia bakery gives wedding cake table advice
Good Afternoon from your Philadelphia bakery Imagicakes cake designers.

I just wanted to take a moment to address the issue of wedding cakes and tables versus stands. Customers ask us us for our advice as to whether to use a cake table or a stand for their wedding cakes. Although there is no set rule we try to use some simple guidelines in this decision.

1. Cost- a cake table is definitely less expensive
2. Cake Design- multi tiered and levelled cakes especially those with fountains and such cannot fit on a cake stand

There are other factors to consider but both presentations can be done elegantly by the addition of fresh flowers vines and effect lighting. Be creative! 
Our Philadelphia bakery also offers table or stand decorating and rental services  with every wedding cake offer.

When its time for your special day remember that its the details that make your wedding cake presentation glow.
